Messy church

Junior worship and fellowship

Junior Church takes place every Sunday morning and is open to all ages. Young people and children take part in the beginning of morning worship and then join in age-related groups for a variety of activities. 

Families with babies and pre-school children are welcome to sit anywhere in the sanctuary, or in the safe area at the back of the church, so that everyone can participate in worship. Soft play bags are available for the very young. 

Fun for Under Fives (FfUFs) runs every Monday morning in term-time for pre-school children and accompanying adults. The session includes play, craft activities, story time, songs and a prayer.

Messy Church is normally held on the first Monday of school holidays except Bank Holidays. All ages are welcome, accompanied by an adult. A fun morning, including a variety of craft activities, a short time of worship, and a light lunch.  The next Messy Church event is on Monday, 26th October between 10 am and 12 noon. There is no charge for Messy Church, but to help with catering, please let us know you are coming by text - 0748 472 7777 - before Wednesday, 21st October.

Parent Free Zone Youth Group

Parent Free Zone Youth Group

Every month we host PFZ (Parent Free Zone) Youth Group on the second Sunday of the month between 5.00pm and 7.00pm, on behalf of Christians Together in Fareham. All young people from 8 years of age are welcome. 

The young people can choose to play a range of table games, table tennis or badminton. The evening also includes team games or quizzes, a short time of reflection, and a cooked meal is provided. 

An enjoyable opportunity for young people from the local churches to meet together for fun, faith and friendship. There is no cost to attend but to help with catering, please let us know who is coming by sending a text to 07484 727777

Our prayers this month

Every week pray for our Church Officers, Elders, all who lead worship, those who provide and show the PowerPoint and work the camera and microphones, those who provide music during times of worship, those who prepare the flowers and those who provide welcome and hospitality.

Prayer for Growth: God of Mission,  who alone brings growth to your church,  send your Holy Spirit to give vision to our planning, wisdom to our actions,  joy to our worship  and power to our witness.  Help our church to grow in numbers  and in spiritual commitment to you  and in service to our local community.  Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

7th – 13th June (The Great Big Green Week)

To ponder: The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it (Psalm 24:1, NIV)

  • Give thanks to God for the beauty of his creation.
  • Pray for the people who look after the green spaces and gardens in Fareham and surrounding area.
  • Lord God, may our awe and wonder draw us closer to the natural world and through it to you.

14th – 20th June (June is National Month of Prayer for Toddler Groups)

To ponder: I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me (John 10:14, NIV)

  • Give thanks for toddler groups and the work that they do with families, especially for our FFUFs group,
  • Pray for the volunteers who lead and help: the tea makers, smile givers, patient listeners, craft creators.
  • Loving God, help us always to recognise your image in others in the way that you recognise our need for love.

21st – 27th June (Sanctuary Sunday)

To ponder: The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God. (Leviticus 19:34, NIV)

  • Give thanks for the work of the UNHCR and other organisations working with refugees.
  • Pray for all who are far from home, for prisoners, immigrants, exiles, refugees and all who seek sanctuary.
  • Merciful God, strengthen us to build churches of welcome, hospitality and sanctuary for all.

28th June – 4th July

To ponder: Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. (Matthew 10:40, NIV)

  • Give thanks for all the work with children and young people that happens in our church.
  • Pray for all who offer their time and talents to make this work happen.
  • Pray for the Fareham Big Weekend and anyone who comes into our church for refreshment on Saturday, 4th July
  • God of welcome, help us to welcome as we are welcomed, and to love as we are loved.
