On Saturday, 17th April, we shall be holding a car boot type sale in our church car park, from 9.30 am until 1.30 pm, weather permitting, of course! (Should the heavens open, we shall set up stalls in the main hall instead.)
In order to make things look a little jollier and also to protect stall holders a bit, we would like to borrow any gazebos you might have (named of course), and also, should you have any, some bunting.
Please bring along any unwanted items which we can sell; the more we have, the more we’ll make. The money this time will be divided 50/50 between church funds and a charity of your choice.
If you could make some cakes too, that would be good. Whilst the sale is taking place, we shall be serving hot dogs and bacon butties, as well as tea, coffee, etc., inside the building.
If any of your friends would like a table, they may have one for a donation of £7 towards our funds and then keep the profit they make for themselves.
Although we shall leave a small amount of parking space for our less able visitors, we shall obviously not be able to accommodate other cars, although, with care, cars could be brought in for unloading if necessary.
We hope that this will be a fun-filled and profitable morning but, of course, we shall badly need some volunteers to run the stalls and hold fort in the kitchen, etc. Please let me know if you can help.
However, all our plans will not produce much fruit unless folk get to hear what we are doing, so please spread the word!
That date and time again: Saturday, 17th April, 9.30 am – 1.30 pm
