As part of its outreach the church supports two charities each year, one local and the other national or international.
The charities chosen for 2009 are:

  • Practical Actions www.practicalaction.co.uk
  • Kids www.kids.org.uk

Other organisations and campaigns supported by this church include:

  • Christian Aid which is committed to seeing just world now through campaigns and donations, www.christianaid.org.uk
  • The TradeJustice Movement (www.tjm.org.uk) of which the church is a long standing member. We rejoice that Fareham is a Fairtrade Borough (www.fftb.org.uk). There is a regular Traidcraft stall on Sunday mornings (www.traidcraft.co.uk).
  • The Well, a Christian Book and Coffee Shop that is part of Churches Together in Fareham and that provides a place of meeting and relaxation for the whole community. www.thefarehamwell.co.uk
  • Commitment for Life, the programme through which local congregations of the United Reformed Church play their part in tackling the structures that keep people poor, and challenges inequality and injustice. www.urc.org.uk/what_we_do/commitment_for_life/commitment_for_life
